Mellencougar, a Tribute to John Mellencamp started in 2007 when a group of radio guys talking about playing John's music live. Having seen John "Cougar" Mellencamp and his band multiple times, we even had the opportunity to meet John backstage in Milwaukee, WI.
Shortly after we began, Don received a call from Toby Myers (JCM Bass player from 1980-2001) inviting us to play his 64th birthday celebration. That performance became incredible memorable, with both Toby Myers and Moe Z M.D. (JCM Keys and vocals 1998-2005) joining us for that show and several subsequent ones!
