This picture was taken the second time we played the Brown County Playhouse in Nashville, Indiana. It was with John Mellencamp's former bandmate and long time friend Toby Myers. Toby sure was fun and meant a lot to the band.
This picture was taken the first time Mellencougar was brought down to Key West, Florida. We played a two night headlining stand at Smokin' Tuna. Ironically we ran into Mike from Seymour, Indiana who came to see us there as well! No doubt it was a great time, and we love to travel!
Singing “Cherry Bomb” with John Mellencamp and his band.
This was in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Riverside Theatre. My wife's face still makes me smile. The next year I was talking to John's drummer Dane Clark and I said “It was cool he had me sing in Milwaukee” Dane said “Well he knows you will know the lyrics”
Mellencougar played to a crowd of 11,000 people in Franklin, Indiana and delivered the words and music of John Mellencamp in a night that would make John proud. It is always great to play a show when you see a bunch of people in Mellencougar shirts singing along with you!
